COD MW4 Multiplayer Map List

October 21 launch maps-and-modes announcement; later playlist availability is not a live service check.

MW4’s launch briefing lists twelve Core maps, three Ground War maps and four named Gunfight maps, plus the modular Kill Block arena. Kill Block’s hundreds of configurations are layouts of that arena, not hundreds of separate map locations. Shipment is listed separately for October 27, after the October 23 launch.

Count a location separately from its configuration

Kill Block is assembled from a modular layout system. A changed configuration is not a new named city, and the launch briefing does not provide a permanently fixed route for all of its variants. Check the actual match layout and mode before applying a route from a recording.

Map pool and mode are separate choices. The mode reference explains respawns and objectives; it does not imply every Core rule is offered on every listed location in every playlist.

Launch versus the announced October 27 addition

Shipment appears as an October 27 addition in the announcement. Keep it outside the October 23 launch membership rather than silently increasing the launch count.

For official map illustrations and individual location descriptions, use the original maps-and-modes briefing. The promotional image here provides atmosphere; it is not a tactical overhead map.
