COD MW4 Hijack Mode
Official October 21, 2026 launch mode briefing. This does not import Beta-only bugs or unverified later playlist changes.
Hijack is a team objective mode built around one Data Spike. Take it to the enemy Comm Station, plant it and defend the upload to score over time and earn a completion bonus. Teams change sides between rounds, and the Spike can reset to the middle after an unattended drop, an out-of-bounds throw or a successful defuse.

Follow the objective through a round
Secure the single Data Spike
Gain control of the shared Spike. Carry it yourself or pass it to a teammate while moving toward the enemy Comm Station.
Plant at the enemy station
Install the Spike at the opposing Comm Station. Planting starts scoring over time; it is not the same as completing the upload.
Protect the upload
Hold the area so the enemy cannot abort the transfer. A completed upload earns the stated bonus in addition to ongoing scoring.
Reorient after a reset or side change
Teams swap sides between rounds. If the Spike resets after the documented drop, out-of-bounds or defuse conditions, return to the shared objective rather than continuing to defend an inactive station.
When to choose it
Choose Hijack if you want a respawn objective that requires transporting an item and defending the destination. If you prefer single-life bomb rounds, Search & Destroy or Collateral follow a different structure.
The launch source does not identify an active universal Hijack completion bug. An issue reported only in Beta should not be presented as a launch rule or as proof that a current match is broken.
