COD MW4 Game Pass Availability
Activision’s October 15, 2026 announcement, checked October 23. Holiday 2027 is a window, not a confirmed day.
Modern Warfare 4 is not included with Game Pass at its October 23, 2026 launch. Activision’s October 15 announcement says players must buy the game separately to play at launch and names Holiday 2027 as the Game Pass window.
What an existing subscriber needs
A Game Pass subscription does not supply the MW4 base-game entitlement at launch. Buy a supported edition on the platform where you intend to play. Standard versus Vault is a choice about the base game and extras, not a way to bypass that purchase requirement.
A storefront can separately list subscription requirements for console online multiplayer or cloud play. A subscription requirement for a service does not mean the paid game is included in that subscription’s catalog.
What has been announced for later
The publisher says MW4 will not be included with Game Pass until Holiday 2027. No exact day is supplied in that announcement. Do not turn the window into an October 2027 anniversary date or treat it as a current subscription listing.
The same announcement names legacy Call of Duty games available to Ultimate subscribers. Their catalog access does not establish MW4 access.
