Use the ESRB listing for the North American classification of the named game and listed platforms. The Mature 17+ mark is the board’s age category, not a statement that every individual will be comfortable with every scene.

Content classification and online interactions
The rating describes the packaged content, while other players introduce separate voice and text interactions. MW4 Support documents Settings → Audio → Voice Chat and Settings → Account & Network text-chat controls. Platform account settings can override these options.
A session mute is temporary and prevents that player from hearing you as well. Blocking is a separate longer-lasting communication and invitation restriction. These controls address interaction; they do not remove the Campaign’s listed violence or language.
Age classification is not a review verdict
Mature 17+ is an age classification. A reviewer’s numeric score or a store’s positive-review percentage measures a different question and does not change the ESRB category.
For story pacing and the scope of a named reviewer’s assessment, use the Campaign review summary. For a purchase decision, also check the relevant platform and edition instead of treating a content label as a quality score.
