The announced Modern Warfare 4 Beta ended September 1, 2026 at 10 AM PT. Its preorder early-access weekend ran August 21–25; the open weekend ran August 28–September 1. Those completed test windows are separate from the October 23 release.

What carries into the release

Eligible Beta rewards remain tied to the Activision account that earned them. The official Beta guide says these earned rewards will be accessible in the full game; the test’s ordinary player and weapon progression does not become release progression.

Use the same Activision account. Activision Support specifically warns that choosing another account removes access to the Beta bonus content earned on the original one. Keeping an account and keeping all test progression are different things.

A saved combat card is a separate record. The stats and Beta Combat Record guide explains the old web route, current Career entry and account/privacy limits.

Use the released install now

The Beta was a separate download through the platform storefronts. For the released game, follow the MW4 installation paths instead of expecting the old Beta application to unlock as the paid game.

The historical Beta included a Campaign mission and Multiplayer content, with additional features across the weekends. Beta maps, weapon levels and loadouts should not be assumed to match the launch rules.
