COD MW4 Monster Rewards & Your Account
Official promotion and MW4 account guidance. This page does not access, link or alter your accounts.
The Monster account handles the promotional Tab Code; the Activision account receives the redeemed Call of Duty content. Your console or PC platform account must be linked to the Activision identity you actually use in MW4. Changing a platform link to another Activision account does not transfer the old account’s online progression.
Which account does what?
On a small screen, scroll the table sideways to read every column.
| Identity | Role | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Monster Energy account | Accepts Tab Codes and shows Rewards | Correct region and promotional account |
| Activision account | Receives the 2XP code and game content | The account you use in MW4 |
| Linked platform account | Your PSN, Xbox, Steam, Battle.net or Nintendo sign-in | It is linked to that same intended Activision identity |

Check the recipient before confirming
Complete the two redemption stages with the intended accounts. Activision’s promotion note says MW4 and later Warzone content is used on the same linked account; a matching display nickname alone is not an account-transfer mechanism.
Use the game’s Activision identity and the official account’s linked-platform information to confirm the recipient. The MW4 registration article says online progression is stored on the Activision account, so a fresh sign-in is not necessarily your existing progress account.
When the reward seems tied to the wrong account
First identify where the problem happened. A missing second code belongs to Monster support. A code accepted by Call of Duty with missing content belongs to Activision Support after the documented game restart check.
Do not unlink a working platform account solely to chase the reward. Activision warns that progression does not carry over when the platform is linked to a different Activision account. Use the official support path with the recipient identity and redemption result; neither support article promises a self-service entitlement transfer.
Never share the private code, password or recovery credentials in a public comment. You can describe the stage and error without exposing them.
