COD MW4 Assassins: Sneak Past Guards
Campaign spoilers for Assassins. Original recording and captions cross-checked against visible route, keypads and trophy completion; this is an attributed route, not our own playthrough.
In the Campaign mission Assassins, stay close during the escorted opening, use the flowerbeds and balcony to follow Ko, and wait for patrols before crossing the library and garden. The inspected Maka91Productions recording finishes with the Pacifist award after one mandatory kill. The detailed route below follows that recording on Recruit; it does not promise identical patrol timing on every difficulty.
Identify the escorted opening
This is Assassins, the eighth mission in the announced Campaign order. The route starts with Ko under guard before the weapons section; a player already in the library can jump directly to that section below.
In the recorded opening, moving too far from the escort fails the objective. After the route opens, move prone along the right flowerbeds, then follow Ko through the dark display room. Stay concealed while the guard passes; do not shoot optional guards when pursuing Pacifist.
Follow the balcony and reach the weapons section
Use cover before the balcony
Follow Ko through the building from the concealed flowerbed approach. Let the patrol move away before exposing yourself at the windows.
Shimmy outside the windows
At the balcony, use the ledge to pass the windows. The recording shows the third-window guard as a waiting point: remain outside until he turns away, then move through. Watch the balcony at 2:30.
Take the earpiece and follow Shin
After the earpiece scene, follow Shin into the armed section. In the recorded route, take the indicated guard when Shin splits the pair; let Shin handle the others. This is the route’s mandatory kill, not permission to clear every room.
Library: left wall, shelf, then stairs
Enter low along the left side. Wait for the guard by the bookcase to turn, then crawl through beneath the shelving. Crossing upright or before he turns exposes you.
Wait behind the stairs while the two guards come down, then use the far-right stairs and the exit door. The inspected library segment at 5:42 shows the stair route; the door follows immediately. The recorded guide gives the first exit code as 5523.
Kitchen: cabinets and the next keypad
Crouch through the middle cabinet cover, keeping the kitchen patrol between you and the open lanes. Continue left, then work along the cabinets to the far-right corner and exit. The recorded route warns that going prone here can expose you to a different sightline; copying only the stance from the library is not enough.
At the kitchen exit, enter 7632. The keypad sequence at 6:51 follows the visible spoken code. Finish the interaction and leave through the door before treating the area as passed.
Garden: water cover and the bunker
Wait outside for the patrol to spread, then enter the water. At the central gazebo, swim toward its pillar and emerge under the roof; return to the water on the other side to avoid the sniper sightline. The next landmark is the statue and the bushes to its left.
Wait in the bushes until the nearby guard turns away. Approach the bunker keypad and enter 9103, then climb down the ladder. Follow the corridor to the right-hand door. The 9:11 keypad input and 9:34 Pacifist notification establish the recorded route’s endpoint.
If a guard spots you
For the stealth or Pacifist attempt, pause and use Last Checkpoint after detection, as the source route instructs. Re-enter the guarded area from the saved checkpoint and wait for the patrol to reset; continuing a combat escape does not establish the same achievement result.
Use the actual checkpoint you loaded. A kitchen restart is not the opening escort, and the garden water checkpoint is later again. Door codes belong to these Assassins doors; the Stranded code list solves a different mission.
